    • This is 2nd time my s7 isnt able to leave voice mail on my husbandz phone.i tried the settings/mobile networks/but its already om Global, ive never had it on lye,but ... anyway its frustrating,it jyst rings and its like its in limbo.
He apparently doesnt receive ANY calls when i get tbis ,so how do i change it please help

      • Voicemail is provided by phone company. Your husband should check with the phone company whether his voicemail is activated. He can set up voicemail through the carrier or in the phone app.

    • How to limit the mailbox on my Samsung Galaxy S7 so that only the last period and not all of them? The phone is crashing due to too many mails. My old only stored last 3 days or 1 week on the phone, how to find that functionality?

      • Email app or Gmail app? Can you find the account settings?

For IMAP email accounts, you can choose how many to sync. For pop3, you have to delete them.

    • Since recently updating to the new Android (7.0) the folders on the homescreen open out a full screen folder instead of the pop up smaller folder as my previous version. Any ideas on how to revert back to that setting? It takes more "clicks" to use games, facebook and google folders now using the back button instead.

      Thanks!

      • This is part of the launcher. There are no settings for this. So, you cannot simply roll back.

You have to use third-party launchers if you hat this full screen folder. You can try Google Now launcher or Nova.

    • My Samsung galaxy s7 turned itself off and I cannot get into my phone without a pin number which I didn't install. Only pattern and thumb recognitions. Can you help please

      • I guess it's PIN fur powering up. None can help because only you know the PIN.

If it's lock screen, you can unlock it with your Samsung account through find my mobile. But if it's PIN fur powering up, no one can help.

    • I have some apps loaded on my S7 but they are not automatically appearing in the app drawer. I can only see them using the search function. Any thoughts on how to correct?

    • In my Galaxy 5 I could hide apps which I can't do in my new Galaxy 7.
I want to hide one app so I can use it secretly. How can I do that?

      • Samsung removed the feature to hide apps in the new TouchWiz launcher. You can try third-party launchers if you need to hide apps from apps screen.

      • Yes, you can make phone calls ans use navigation simultaneously.

But if you use voice guidance, then at any time, only one app can use the speaker (the other app will be paused, normally, the navigation app, will be paused.).

    • When I delete emails on my cell phone it also deletes on my desk top how di I prevent this from happening

      • It depends on your email server. If you choose IMAP, by default, emails will be synced among all devices. In this case, you can choose pop3 protocal and each device will have it's own copies.

      • Install SmartSwitch (which includes USB driver for all Samsung phones) on the PC. Then when you connect your S7 to the PC, you can view all files on the phone from your PC. Your S7 works like a thumb drive. The photos are located under DCIM folder.

You can also use SmartSwitch to back up the phone, including photos.

You can also back up photos to your Google drive using Photos app which is pre-installed on S7. Then you can access and download your photos from any devices.

    • just got galaxy 7, trying to get camera setting on the actual camera , all that is there is flash on/off .. nothing else. i took it to a shop, and apparently the samsung 7 galaxy does not having any features to voice ativate to take photo such as , shot, cheese. ut apparently has no senor features. i find this had to believe.
can anyone give me any info

    • I just got my s7 yesterday and I can't use some of my apps I keep getting a message saying screen overlay detected to turn off open settings apps but there is nothing that says anything about screen overlay I don't know what it could be under as

      • If it's a new phone, you can try to reset the phone.

The problem is caused by some apps installed by you.

        • I haven't changed anything....or moved anything...was only upgraded 2 weeks ago...and it just changed. Baffling me.

          • Not sure. what's inside Galaxy S7 is just a link. The browser (Samsung's one) load the page and redirect you to the proper (presumably) start page. In most versions, it redirects based on the firmware. Sometimes, it may redirect based on SIM card region. T

Anyway, the online manual is identical to the PDF version of the S7 user manual in our website (for S7; for S7 edge) . You can download a copy and use it offline.

    • I have tried to make calls and it says that is not registered on network? Can you help. I was able to make calls before this.

    • 2nd day of owning the Galaxy S7, which is my very FIRST cell phone ever, and I cant get into ANYTHING! Have nothing but a black screen!
Went to look at my phone contacts this AM and got a message that something or another needed updated.... so I accepted. It said I couldn't use the phone for 1/2 hour while it updated. Then when I tried to get in it, it told me I couldn't use my fingerprint, that I had to use my 4 digit pin the first time. I put in the pin, hit ok, and haven't been able to get in since!
If this is how user friendly it is to operate, Ill never get another one!
Anyone have any suggestions, or do I have to go back to the store today where I bought it at yesterday?
      Thanks kindly!

    • I'm having trouble adding fields to my contacts pages; only getting phone number and email spaces but can see no other indicator to get more fields. Help pls!

      • Very likely, the contact is saved on the SIM card. For contacts in SIM card, you only have name and phone number.

You can copy the contact to phone storage or Google account. Then you can set all fields for that contact.

    • At the very top of the phone there is a white box with an n in it or a slash mark across tit I do not know what this indicates can you please help me out

      • Very likely, it is NFC if it is in the right side, not left side, of the status bar.

If not, you can take a screenshot and share it in our facebook page so that others can see it.

    • Customer service at my provider had me put the sim card into my edge without the tray is there a way to eject the sim card and properly install it?

      • You must use the sim card tray. It's better to get the card out in service centre or some shops with experiences. Don't try it yourself. It's easy to damage the slot.

      • You just turn on location service (by default it is on in most regions). Your app should be able to use GPS.
