    • To use pro mode, you need some basic photograph knowledge. If you are not sure, you just set one parameter, e.g., ISO andn let the phone set others.

We are preparing the guide for Pro mode. I will check whether we are ready to release it this weekend or early next week.

    • Unfortunately, Samsung removed the dual-camera mode in S9 without explanation (low usage? licensing? stupidity? arrogance?). The last device got the dual camera mode is S8 and S8+.

  • I am teaching a class and want to use the selfie video mode. However, the text on my white board behind me is backwards (mirrored). I really need to use this mode so I can accurately monitor what the lesson looks like. What can I do to make this happen?

    • In camera settings, your can enable save as previewed to avoid mirrored selfies. It works for both photos and videos.

  • On my S9, purchased in Dec. 2018, when I switch to pro mode to try out various options, how do I
    1) switch back to auto mode when there isn't an "auto" option along the top of my screen or anywhere else?
    2) also, there is no "flower" mode, so what do I use for taking close up photos of flowers or other things?

    • 1. Photo mode is the Auto mode. Samsung changed the default to auto mode a long time ago. When you open the camera app, or exit from Pro mode, you should be in Photo mode already.
      2. Flower mode is under auto mode with the scene optimizer on. When the camera detects flowers or similar object, it will apply flower mode automatically. The scene optimizer icon should also change to a flower. Scene optimizer can recognize 20-30 different scenes/objects. Anyway, remember to turn on (it is on by default) the scene optimizer. You can tap the scene optimizer icon to turn it on/off. You can also set it in camera settings.

Anyway, if you have updated the phone to Android 10, the camera app interface should like that one on Galaxy S20 as explained in this guide.
